Engage
Your warm network, working every morning. Engage matches the people you already know against live Fundz signals overnight and hands you a ready-to-send comment and DM — one card per warm lead — before your day starts.
What Engage is
Engage is your warm-network engine. Every weekday morning, it matches the people already in your own LinkedIn network against live Fundz signals — funding rounds, exec changes, M&A — and surfaces the ones who just became worth reaching out to. For each match it hands you a ready-to-send comment and DM in your own voice, tied to the real event driving it.
It is deliberately not a firehose: Engage delivers a small set of ICP-matched warm leads (up to five a day), so every card is someone you actually know with a real, timely reason to talk. To reach decision-makers you don’t know — cold outreach from signals — that’s the separate SmartSend product.
What's on each lead card
Someone you already know
The signal that made them worth a message
A comment and a DM, in your voice
Capped, not a firehose
Delivered every morning
Engage runs overnight and delivers your leads around 7 AM ET each weekday — not a weekly digest. Cards land in two places: your Slack channel (if you connect one) and the Engage dashboard. You’ll also get a morning email, so even if you skip Slack the leads still reach you. Open the day with a short, ready-to-work list of warm openings.
Skip Slack and nothing is lost: your daily leads show up in the morning email and on the Engage dashboard at app.fundz.net/engage.
Setting up Engage (about 5 minutes)
- 1Describe your ICP. A plain-English sentence or two on who you sell to and what they care about. This is how Engage decides which of your connections is a match.
- 2Paste 2–5 sample DMs. Real messages you’ve sent that got replies. Engage learns your voice from these so the drafted comment and DM sound like you, not a template.
- 3Upload your LinkedIn connections CSV. This is the engine — without a real connections upload, Engage has almost nothing to watch and produces close to zero leads.
- 4Connect Slack (optional). Point Engage at a public channel so cards can post there automatically. Skip it and your leads still arrive by morning email and on the dashboard.
Export from LinkedIn: Settings & Privacy → Data Privacy → Get a copy of your data → “Download larger data archive”. (LinkedIn removed the granular “Connections only” option, so choose the larger archive.) LinkedIn emails you a Zip within 24–48 hours; inside is Connections.csv. Drop that file into Engage. Until you do, Engage has no network to match against.
Re-upload a fresh export any time to keep your network current.
Choose a public channel like #engage-leads that the Fundz bot can post to without an invite. Do not pick a Direct Message — leads can’t be delivered to a DM. See the Slack integration guide for the connect steps.
Grounded, and always from your seat
Every card is tied to a real signal and a real connection of yours. Engage never invents dollar figures or fabricates a relationship you do not have — if the grounding is not there, it does not manufacture it. And nothing sends from a shared Fundz account: every comment and DM goes out from your own LinkedIn, in your voice.
Engage is included on the Pro and Strategic plans (Strategic differs on daily limits and depth of data). See the current comparison on Plans & Pricing.
