Your network

My Network

My Market is who you sell to. My Network is who you know. It is the one place to load and refresh your LinkedIn connections, see who to reach this week, and see everything Fundz does with your network.

Where to find it

Open My Network in the sidebar under Your work, right next to My Market. It is available to every user, whatever view you use.

Private to you

Nobody is contacted from this page, and your connections are never shown to anyone else.

Your network status

The top of the page shows how many LinkedIn connections Fundz has on file, the date of the LinkedIn export they came from, and how many the Fundz Chrome extension has added since. Use Update from a new export to upload a fresh Connections.csv, or follow the link to keep it current with the Chrome extension.

  1. 1
In LinkedIn, go to Settings, then Data privacy, then Get a copy of your data, and choose Connections.
  2. 2
LinkedIn emails you the file, usually within a day or two.
  3. 3
    Upload Connections.csv on My Network.
Uploading does not start outreach

Uploading here only stores your network for Fundz features. It does not switch on Engage outreach.

How do you use your network?

Tell Fundz what your network is for. Pick any of: Find referral sources, Sell to my target accounts, Raise money, and Follow past clients & placements. Your choice only changes the order of the page. Nothing is ever hidden. The starting choices come from your persona.

People to reach this week

A short, ranked list of people you know, each with the reason to get in touch now. For example, their firm just backed or bought a company, or their company, one of your accounts, just raised money or announced a new executive. Each person has a LinkedIn link and, where available, a Draft a note button.

Send via HeyReach

Sends the note from your own LinkedIn, if you have connected HeyReach.

Copy & open LinkedIn

Copies the note and opens their LinkedIn so you can paste it and send it yourself.

I sent it

Marks the note as sent when you reached them another way.

What your network finds for you

A set of cards with your own live counts, a few example names and an Open link into the feature that uses them. For example:

  1. 1
Your accounts where you know someone, which opens My Accounts.
  2. 2
Active investors where you know a partner, which opens Raise on Strategic, or Investors on other plans.
  3. 3
People you know who changed jobs, described below.
  4. 4
For Get Referrals users: PE firms that just did a deal, VC firms that just funded a company and investors in companies just acquired, where you know someone.

Uses with nothing to show right now are listed under More ways to use it instead of disappearing.

People you know who changed jobs

A new role is one of the best reasons to say hello. Fundz finds job changes in two ways:

Announced in the news

New roles announced in the news are matched against all of your connections twice a day, by LinkedIn profile or by exact name plus their company. Fundz only shows it when your connection is the person appointed, not the executive being replaced. This covers your whole network.

A LinkedIn headline change

For the people Engage follows, Fundz reads the headline on their own posts every morning. For connections the Chrome extension sees on your connections page, it compares the headline it saw before. Unannounced moves show up for these people.

Each change shows what changed: the new role announcement, or the old headline next to the new one. Click Draft a congratulations note for a short note that offers to be a resource as they settle in. It may mention senior roles open at their new company in your function.

People Engage follows every morning

This section shows your three Engage lists and how full each one is: your ideal-customer list (50 people on Pro, 100 on Strategic), up to 15 prospects you are pursuing, and up to 25 people at your target companies. A link takes you to Engage to manage them.

Follow your past clients and champions

Add past clients, placements and champions as prospects. Those slots do not use up your ideal-customer list, and Engage will notice when their headline changes.
