Add LinkedIn to SmartSend (HeyReach)

SmartSend can reach a contact by email, by LinkedIn, or both. Email works on its own — to turn on the LinkedIn option, you connect your own LinkedIn once through HeyReach. It takes about two minutes. Here's exactly how.

What this is (in one line)

When you start a SmartSend on a contact, you choose how to reach them: Email + LinkedIn, LinkedIn only, or Email only. The LinkedIn choices only appear once you've connected a LinkedIn account. Fundz does that through HeyReach — a tool that sends LinkedIn messages as you, from your own profile. You bring your own HeyReach account (a separate, low-cost sign-up), connect it to Fundz one time, and the LinkedIn options light up.

You don't need this for email

Email works with no setup at all — both SmartSend and the Email only choice in SmartSend send from your inbox right away. HeyReach is only for adding the LinkedIn option.

Fundz never sees your LinkedIn password

You connect with a HeyReach API key — a short code you copy and paste — not your LinkedIn login. Fundz never sees or stores your LinkedIn password, and every LinkedIn message goes out as you, never from a shared account. LinkedIn has no safe way for an app to send directly; HeyReach is the layer that sends as you without putting your account at risk.

Connect LinkedIn — step by step

    Go to Account → Integrations and find the LinkedIn (HeyReach) card, then click Connect. (You can also start this straight from the SmartSend button on any contact.)

    Don't have a HeyReach account yet? Click Create a HeyReach account on that screen and sign up — it takes about two minutes. This is your own LinkedIn sender; you only do it once.

    In HeyReach, open Settings → API and copy your API key (a long code).

    Paste that key back on the Fundz screen and click Connect. Fundz checks it and finishes the setup for you automatically — nothing else to configure.

    Done. The card now reads Connected, and on any contact with a LinkedIn profile the SmartSend button will let you pick Email + LinkedIn or LinkedIn only.
Never stuck

You can connect ahead of time from Account → Integrations, or just open SmartSend on a contact and pick a LinkedIn option — if you haven't connected yet, the same setup panel opens right there.

What LinkedIn does once it's connected

Picking a LinkedIn option doesn't fire off one message and forget it. Fundz sends a polite connection request, then a short follow-up, then a gracious sign-off if they never reply — each one written from the company's latest news and fully editable before it goes out.

Stops the moment they reply

If you chose Email + LinkedIn, the two run as one sequence. A reply on either one stops both, so the same person is never contacted twice.

Sends as you, with restraint

Everything goes out from your own profile, with sensible daily and per-contact limits — a precise, one-at-a-time touch, never a bulk blast.

One key, remove it anytime

You connect with an API key you can rotate or delete inside HeyReach whenever you like — and it turns the LinkedIn option right back off.

Questions people ask first

Do I have to use LinkedIn at all?

No. Email works on its own with zero setup. HeyReach is only if you also want to reach people on LinkedIn through SmartSend.

Is HeyReach separate or paid?

It's your own HeyReach account and sign-up. Fundz connects to it; it isn't bundled into Fundz.

Does Fundz get my LinkedIn password?

No, never. You connect with a HeyReach API key, and every LinkedIn message sends from your own account.

Why HeyReach instead of Fundz just sending?

LinkedIn gives apps no safe way to send directly. HeyReach sends as you without risking your account — so your LinkedIn messages look and feel like they came from you, because they did.
