Client briefs

A market brief about one of your clients, or a note on one industry, printed under your own logo and contact details. Send it as a link or a PDF, or have a fresh draft ready for you every week, month or quarter.

Who has it

New, on Strategic and Firm

Client briefs are on for active Strategic and Firm accounts. It is new, and we are still improving it, so tell us what your clients want to see. If it is not on for you, the page says so.

Open Client briefs in the sidebar under My Accounts.

Make a brief

  1. 1
Choose Brief on a company and search for your client, or choose Market note and type an industry, for example Legal Tech.
  2. 2
You can also start from the Client brief button on any company page or on Today's List.
  3. 3
Review it. Each line links to its source, and you can remove any line that does not belong.
  4. 4
Share it with Copy link, or download the PDF. You can turn a link off at any time; anyone who opens it then sees “not found”.

Use one section anywhere

Each section of a brief can go out on its own: copy it for an email or as slide bullets, download a PowerPoint slide or CSV, add it as a HubSpot note, post it to Slack, send it to Zapier, or open it in Claude.

The client's company

Their latest news: funding, leadership changes, deals and more.

Their competitors

Fundz suggests the closest competitors. Remove or add companies in one click, and the brief remembers them.

Their market

What is happening across the industry, for a quarterly letter or review.

Schedule a draft

On the Schedules tab, or from the Schedule button on any brief, choose how often you send it: every week, every month, or quarterly (January, April, July and October). Fundz builds the draft ahead of time and emails you a note to review it. Nothing goes to your client until you send it.

Turn the draft note on or off

The note is listed as Client brief drafts in Email settings.

Your branding

On the Branding tab add your logo (a PNG or JPG under 1 MB; a wide logo on a white or transparent background prints best), your firm name, website, name, title, email, phone, booking link, an accent colour and an optional line printed small at the bottom, such as a disclaimer. Until you add a logo, briefs print your firm name. Changes apply to new briefs and to every link you already shared.

Looks like yours

Your details sit at the top of every brief, the way a letterhead would.

One link per brief

Send the link, or turn it off when the engagement ends.

Keeps you remembered

A regular brief on their market is a reason to be in touch that helps them.
