Import and export

Bring your existing list of accounts into My targets from a spreadsheet, and take it out again whenever you like. Your data is never locked in.

Import a spreadsheet

    Save your list as a CSV file. From Excel or Google Sheets, use File, then Download or Save As, then CSV.

    Open My targets and click Import CSV.

    Choose the file. Fundz tells you how many companies it added, how many it matched to Fundz data and how many it skipped.

The one column you need is the company website, like acme.com. Many companies share a name, so Fundz matches each one by its website, and rows with no website are skipped and counted. Fundz recognises common column names, so you usually don't need to rename anything:

    Website (required): Website, Domain, Company website or Company domain.

    Company: Company, Company name, Account, Account name, Organization or Name. Optional, the website decides the match.

    Contact: Contact, Contact name, Full name or Person. Also Title or Role, Email, and LinkedIn or LinkedIn URL.

    Stage: Stage or Status. Words like "new" or "prospect" become To contact, "emailed" becomes Contacted, "responded" becomes Replied, "demo" or "proposal" becomes Meeting, "closed won" or "client" becomes Won, and "closed lost" becomes Lost. Anything else starts at To contact.

    Deal value: Deal value, Value or Amount. Dollar signs and commas are fine.

    Next step: Next step date, Follow up or Due date for the date, and Next step or Next action for what to do.

    Expected close: Expected close, Close date or Expected close date. Lost reason: Lost reason or Loss reason.

    Notes: Note, Notes or Comments. These go into the company's timeline.

How companies are matched to Fundz data

Each row is linked to the company at its website. If Fundz doesn't track that company yet, it starts tracking it. Linked companies show their news on your Today panel and in the target news email. Because the match is by website, never by name, another company's news never ends up against your account.

Companies already in My targets are skipped, so importing the same file twice is safe. You can import up to 2,000 rows at a time.

Export

Click Export on My targets to download a CSV of every company you're working, with stage, deal value, expected close date, lost reason, next step, contact details, why you added it, and the dates it was added and last updated. It opens in Excel or Google Sheets, and imports into most CRMs.

Using a CRM as well?

HubSpot users can sync My targets with HubSpot both ways. Fundz also connects to HubSpot and Salesforce. See each guide for what syncs.
