The Map: your territory, anywhere in the world

Every company Fundz holds where you sell, on one map, ranked by how well it fits your targeting and by its latest verified event. Click a dot to see why it fits, who you know there and a ready opener. Planning a trip? Name the city and the map builds your visits day by day, with the forecast.

Where to find it

Open Map in the sidebar. It is part of every paid plan, including Pro. The first time you open it, a short "How the map works" guide walks through the basics; you can open it again any time from the help button at the top of the map.

The map starts on your territory: the US states and cities in your targeting. If your targeting has no US locations yet, search an area at the top or add states or cities to your targeting.

Read the dots

Each dot is a company. The color tells you how it fits you:

  1. 1
Matches your targeting, with a verified event in the last 12 months. Start here.
  2. 2
Matches your targeting, no event in the last 12 months.
  3. 3
Grey: in this area, but outside your targeting (shown when "Matches my targeting" is off).
  4. 4
Green ring: you know someone there, from the LinkedIn connections you uploaded.

The list next to the map shows the same companies, best fit first. Type in Filter companies to narrow it by name, city or industry. Matches my targeting is on by default; turn it off, or click Show all companies here, to see every operating company in the area.

Click any dot or row

A panel opens with everything you need to decide whether to reach out:

Why it fits you

Timing, Relevance and Relationships: its latest dated event, how it matches what you sell, and whether you know someone there.

Its verified events

Funding, executive moves, acquisitions, contracts, product launches, office permits and hiring, each with its date, going back 3 years.

Who you know and who to contact

People you know there, a Find contacts button, a draft opener built from its latest event (edit it before you send), and Add to My Accounts to follow it.

Filter by event type

The All event types menu at the top shows only companies with one kind of event in the last 12 months: funding, executive moves, hiring (open roles), acquisitions, contracts, product launches or office permits. Each company in the list shows the date of that event, so you can open with something recent.

Look anywhere in the world

Your states

Your territory, all your states, all of the US (top matches) or a single state.

Outside the US and regions

Outside the US, or a region: Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Latin America and Caribbean. These wide views show the top matches.

Any country or city

Search a city or country, like Toronto, London, Germany or Austin, TX. For a city, pick a radius of 10, 25 or 50 miles. The map flies there right away while the companies load.
Placement outside the US

Outside the US we usually know a company's city, not its street address, so those companies are placed around the city center. The company panel says "Placed at city level" when that is the case.

Back to my territory returns you to where you started.

Plan a trip

Visiting a city? Click Plan a trip:

  1. 1
Enter the city you are visiting (like Austin, TX), or an address.
  2. 2
Pick the first day, how many days (1 to 5) and how many visits a day.
  3. 3
Fundz picks the best-matched companies nearby, ranked by Timing, Relevance and Relationships, groups them into days (weekdays only) and numbers the stops in visit order on the map.
  4. 4
Each stop has a short opener built from its latest event, and a green ring if you know someone there.
  5. 5
Open each day's route in Google Maps, add the whole trip to your calendar (.ics) or download it as a CSV.

The forecast for each day

In the US the forecast comes from the National Weather Service; elsewhere from MET Norway. It shows up about 7 days ahead.

Works worldwide

Plan a trip anywhere the map has companies, in the US or abroad.
