Yum Brands announced the appointment of Kalen Thornton as Pizza Hut global chief brand officer, recruited from PepsiCo, and Melissa Friebe as chief marketing officer for Pizza Hut, U.S., coming from Taco Bell. Thornton will lead Pizza Hut's global brand strategy and marketing in 110 markets, while Friebe will take over as the chief marketing officer for Pizza Hut in the U.S., replacing Lindsay Morgan.
