Origin, a physical AI company building general-purpose robots for interior construction, has raised $20 million in seed funding co-led by Accel and Zacua Ventures. The round includes backing from Unilazer Ventures, Schema Ventures, Z21, and angel investors from Anduril, Skild AI, 1X and Tesla. The funding will support deployment of Origin's flagship OG-1 robot and large-scale pilots with major US drywall contractors and international partners. OG-1 autonomously completes wall-finishing workflows including applying compound, sanding, and priming to professional standards.
