Drylab AI, an artificial intelligence agent platform, has raised a US$3 million seed round led by Vertex Ventures with participation from PatSnap. The company builds research agents that can independently carry out scientific work without constant supervision. The funding will be used to expand engineering and biology teams, hire sales staff, and obtain security and compliance certifications. Drylab has already signed paying customers from pharmaceutical companies, cancer centres, biomedical research institutes and universities across the US, Europe and Asia.
