West Fraser Timber has appointed its chief operating officer, Sean McLaren, as the company's next head of the company. McLaren will be replacing current Chief Executive Officer Ray Ferris, who is set to retire after 26 years at the company at the end of the year. The Canadian integrated wood products company said that McLaren will take the helm of the company, effective Jan. 1.
