Synchron, the endovascular brain-computer interface company developing technology designed to restore functionality in patients with motor impairment, today announced the appointment of Riki Banerjee, Ph.D., to Chief Technology Officer . Banerjee will be responsible for leading all research and development activities, including advancing Synchron’s neuroprosthesis device for patients with severe paralysis. Banerjee will succeed Nick Opie, Ph.D., the founding CTO and co-founder of Synchron who remains on the Board of Directors.
