Grand Junction nonprofit HopeWest has chosen Deneen Silva, MSN, as its new president & CEO to lead the organization. Silva, a highly accomplished nursing professional with over 20 years of experience, will take over from current CEO Cassie Mitchell in February 2025.

HopeWest is a nonprofit organization created through a community-wide vision to provide comprehensive, expert, and collaborative care for those facing serious illness and grief. Serving western Colorado across Mesa, Delta, Montrose, Ouray, and Rio Blanco counties, HopeWest has grown since its inception in 1993, when it cared for 81 patients and their families. Today, with a dedicated team of 425 staff members and over 1,300 volunteers, HopeWest operates five offices and a state-of-the-art Hospice Care Center, serving more than 2,500 patients and over 1,500 grieving individuals annually across a 7,000-square-mile area.
