American Electric Power has appointed Chris Brathwaite as its new vice president and chief communications officer, effective immediately. In this role, Brathwaite will be responsible for enterprise-wide employee and external communications, reputation management, policy communications, marketing, brand management, digital communications, social media, analytics, and creative services. Reporting directly to Phil Ulrich, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, Brathwaite's expertise and extensive career in communications strategies for large organizations will further AEP's efforts to connect effectively with customers, employees, and key stakeholders.
