Description
The U.S. Department of Energy awarded Navajo Transitional Energy Company (NTEC) $6.55 million in funding for a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) study to assess the feasibility of implementing carbon capture and storage (CCS) at the Four Corners Power Plant (FCPP). The study aims to remove over 95% of the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from the plant, preserving jobs and economic impact to the Navajo Nation and ensuring regional power grid reliability.
