Physical AI vision company Nova Spectral AI has raised Rs 21.15 crore ($2.25 million) in seed funding led by Shastra VC, with participation from Equirus InnovateX Fund and angel investors. The company, founded by Anish Priyadarshi and Sanjeev Kumar, develops lead-free colloidal quantum dot SWIR image sensor chips on standard silicon CMOS. Proceeds will be used to build the team and develop a field-ready prototype within 18 months. The technology enables affordable infrared imaging for defence ISR, drones, surveillance systems, robots, and autonomous vehicles applications.
