Description
Nomba, a Nigerian payments startup, has secured a US$3 million debt facility through CardinalStone Finance Company Limited to expand its cross-border payments business. The funding will enable Nomba to scale its monthly transaction volume from US$480 million to US$1 billion and expand into new African markets including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, and Uganda. The debt facility will provide Nomba with greater USD liquidity to power its near-instant cross-border payment network and support trade between Central Africa and Asia. Founded in 2017 by Yinka Adewale and Pelumi Aboluwarin, Nomba is a profitable, omnichannel payment service provider.
