Belgium-based Noak, a spin-off of imec and UHasselt, has raised €5 million in seed funding to scale and industrialise perovskite-silicon tandem photovoltaic technology. The funding came from Helios Foundation, Nuhma and V2HFin. The technology combines perovskite and silicon layers, targeting conversion efficiencies of 30–35%, compared with silicon's practical limit of 27–28%. The capital will support development at EnergyVille in Genk and preparations for gigawatt-scale manufacturing partnerships.
