Climate fintech MPower Ventures AG has secured $2.7 million in a funding round aimed at accelerating its expansion across West and Southern Africa. The funding, structured as a combination of equity and subordinated debt, will enable MPower to expand its distributor network and enhance its product portfolio. CEI Africa has pledged €1.1 million ($1.2 million) as part of the fundraising effort. The capital raised will improve access to clean energy in regions with unreliable electricity grids.
