MP Space, a Sydney-based space power technology company founded in 2024 by former Tesla engineers, has raised AUD $23 million in seed funding led by Blackbird. The round also included participation from Systemiq Capital, Seraphim Space, Speedinvest and MFV Partners. MP Space develops power systems for spacecraft and has already designed its products into several space services and missions covering more than 500 spacecraft. The funding will support local manufacturing, platform expansion, and growth of the Australian engineering team, with hardware scheduled to fly in orbit in Q4 2026.
