Jar, a Bengaluru-based gold savings platform, has secured Rs 29 crore in fresh funding from existing backer Unitary Fund. The round values the company at Rs 3,155 crore, representing a 23% increase from its previous valuation. The funding will be used for working capital requirements and general corporate purposes. This capital infusion comes as the company faces regulatory scrutiny and discussions with other investors like WestBridge appear to have stalled.

The Bengaluru-based Jar said on Thursday it has raised $32 million in its Series A financing round, just months after securing its seed funding. The new round values Jar at over $200 million, according to two people familiar with the matter. Jar, which raised $4.5 million from a range of investors including Tribe Capital and Arkam Ventures last year, operates an eponymous app that makes it very simple for users to start investing.
