Hyperbolic, an AI chip marketplace and software startup, has raised $30 million in a Series A-1 funding round led by Walden Catalyst, the venture capital firm founded by Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan and former Samsung president Young Sohn. Dell Technologies Capital, General Catalyst, Vista Equity Partners, and Cambium Capital also participated in the round. The startup helps companies find and manage compute resources from different AI cloud providers, addressing fragmentation in the market. Hyperbolic has now raised $50 million to date and plans to use the funding to expand software tools for managing AI chips across different neoclouds.
