High Temperature Material Systems (HTMS), a UK-based startup developing novel heat-resistant inorganic matrix composites (IMCs), secured £1.3 million in a Seed funding round led by South West Investment Fund and Midlands Engine Investment Fund II in September 2025. The round included participation from SFC Capital, DeepTech Labs, and US venture fund Plug and Play. Since the funding, HTMS has opened new headquarters in Leamington Spa and a 6,000 sq ft laboratory in Malmesbury, created five new jobs, and completed successful trials for electric vehicle components. The company is now preparing for a Series A round and plans to expand exports to the Middle East and US.
