Etheros is pioneering a new class of small molecule drugs which mimic the endogenous enzymes, superoxide dismutase and catalase, that prevent oxidative and inflammatory injury; injury to which neural tissue is particularly sensitive. Our lead compound is neuroprotective in a diverse set of double-blind, placebo-controlled animal studies. It also extends median lifespan in wild-type mice by around 15% when dosed from middle age.
