Aslan, a Washington, D.C.-based company, raised $20.8 million in seed funding for AI agents designed to operate undercover in hostile online communities for U.S. intelligence, military, and law-enforcement work. Khosla Ventures and XYZ Venture Capital led the round, with participation from 2048 Ventures, BoxGroup, Liquid2, Alumni Ventures and other investors. The agents are designed to construct persistent personas, seek entry into encrypted foreign criminal or adversary networks, and can run on isolated physical equipment
