Altilium, a UK-based clean technology company, has announced additional investment from strategic shareholders SQM and Marubeni Corporation as part of its Series B2 round. The funding will support the development of ACT 3, the UK's first commercial refinery for recovering critical battery materials from end-of-life EV batteries. Both SQM and Marubeni were early investors, with SQM leading the $12 million Series A round. The investment builds on Altilium's recent £18.5 million grant award from the UK Government's DRIVE35 programme.
