Althea is a private organization formed in partnership with CU Anschutz Department of Psychiatry with the goal of expanding psychedelic research in Colorado. The department recently embarked on the first psychedelic clinical trial in Colorado, exploring the effects of psilocybin on anhedonia in treatment-resistant depression. Additionally, the state of Colorado is embarking on a regulated rollout of a psilocybin assisted therapy program in 2025.
