Aston Martin F1 has announced the appointment of Andy Cowell as its new Group Chief Executive Officer. Cowell, who joins from former Mercedes HPP, will succeed Martin Whitmarsh in the position and will report directly to Lawrence Stroll, the company boss. His appointment is set to take effect from October 1, 2021, coinciding with the transition of Aston Martin from Mercedes to Honda power unit.
