TransCore, owned by Singapore Technologies Engineering, has been awarded the E-ZPass contract for the New Jersey Turnpike for $1.73 billion, $250 million more than the American company Conduent, Inc. which has operated it for 22 years. This has reignited national security concerns over its links to China.
