Former SpaceX engineer Scott Nolan, CEO of startup General Matter, has partnered with the U.S. Department of Energy to produce high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) in the United States. This partnership aims to reduce Russia's monopoly and bring down the cost of HALEU enrichment significantly.
