State Grid Corp of China has won a 30-year franchise agreement to construct a 1,500-kilometer transmission line in northeast Brazil with an investment of 20 billion reais ($3.4 billion). The project aims to supply 5 million kilowatts of power to regions including the capital Brasilia and is scheduled to be operational in 2029. This partnership reflects China's increased investment in Brazil's energy infrastructure.
