City council voted to award SCV Waste Solutions a five-year contract for biosolids collection and disposal, from Jan. 1, 2025 to Dec. 31, 2029, with an option to extend for an additional two years. SCV's bid for the five-year contract came in at $229,565, representing a 43 per cent increase over the current service cost.
