Rand Capital Corporation announced that its portfolio company, SciAps, Inc., is to be acquired by Spectris plc for up to $260 million, consisting of up-front consideration of $200 million and a deferred element of up to $60 million. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, with completion expected later this year.
