Contract Type
contract
Description
The United Kingdom has awarded Saab a GBP20 million amendment to the Instrumented Live Training-Direct (ILT-D) contract, which will provide equipment and training support services for British Army training in Oman in 2024–25. The original ILT-D award in April, worth GBP60 million, replaced the previous Direct Fire Weapon Effect Simulator (DFWES) contract and provided a laser-based Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES) system. The new contract amendment will provide an additional 1,000 soldier systems, including small-arms simulators, and support the instrumentation system, exercise control, and management system.
