Description
Reliance NU Suntech Private Limited, a subsidiary of Reliance Power Limited, has been awarded a contract by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to develop a 930 MW solar power project along with a 465 MW/1,860 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The project will feature the largest deployment of grid-scale storage batteries at a single site in Asia, outside China. The company secured the contract through an e-reverse auction conducted by SECI on December 9, 2024, with a competitive tariff and assured supply of peak power for 4 hours in a day, providing relief for DISCOMs. The project guarantees a four-hour daily peak power supply and will be developed on a build-own-operate basis
