North Country Immigrant Allies secures over $32,000 in funding from the Adirondack Diversity Initiative to expand programs supporting immigrant families facing detention and language barriers.

North Country Immigrant Allies will receive more than $32,000 to expand programs that help immigrant families prepare for possible immigration detention and address language barriers. Funding from the Adirondack Diversity Initiative will support the advocacy group's programs through 2027. Half of the grant will be used for new family preparedness clinics in communities with significant immigrant populations. The funding will also help the group address language access issues by hiring interpreters and providing Spanish classes for volunteers.
