NJ Transit's board of directors voted to replace The 21st Century Rail Corporation with ACI-Herzog Joint Venture, awarding them a $1.56 billion 15-year contract to operate and maintain the Hudson-Bergen light rail line. The contract will focus on maintaining the high standard of service for customers and includes components for Rail Operations, Maintenance of Way, Vehicle Maintenance, as well as capital work.
