Description
Honda shares surged by more than 16% following the announcement of a buyback worth up to 1.1 trillion yen ($7 billion), aimed at improving the efficiency of the company's capital structure. Additionally, Honda and its struggling rival Nissan have agreed to initiate talks on a merger, in a strategic move to compete with Chinese companies and Tesla in the electric vehicles market.
