Description
MARTA's Board of Directors approved a $500 million contract with Swiss-based Stadler to replace the current control system for the rail network within eight years. The new communication-based train control (CBTC) system will enhance rail safety and on-time performance by allowing the vehicles to be operated more precisely, safely, and efficiently.
