Description
The Department of Energy has announced a $45 billion contract, valued at up to a decade, to manage and treat radioactive waste at the Hanford nuclear site, including the storage and initial treatment of waste at the site's vitrification plant. The contract transition is scheduled to start on Monday, Oct. 21, with the newly formed H2C set to take over the operations.
