GlobalFoundries and the U.S. Department of Commerce have reached an agreement to provide up to $1.5 billion in funding to support the company's expansion plans in New York and modernization of its Vermont facility. Additionally, New York State has confirmed an additional $550 million in funding. The investment aims to strengthen supply chains and support customers across vital end-markets such as automotive, smart mobile devices, IoT, datacenters, and aerospace and defense.
