The federal grand jury indicted John Laakso for fraudulently billing GAF Materials Corporation, a building materials manufacturer in Chatham County, for over $1 million through fictitious personas and pass-through companies. Laakso served as a contractor and employee, abusing his position to artificially inflate vendor quotes and siphon off funds for personal gain.
