The Florida Conservation Group has partnered with state and federal funding to preserve active agriculture operations in the Peace River Valley region. A total of $47 million has been announced for this initiative, highlighting four proposed agricultural conservation projects that will benefit from the funding. The Rural and Family Lands Protection Program's voluntary rural land protection easements will ensure the permanent preservation of these agricultural operations in Southwest Florida from future development, along with their environmentally critical land and water resources.
