Description
The Workplace Relations Commission ruled that Dublin-based recruitment firm Eteam Workforce discriminated against recruitment consultant Raquel Vieira Dos Santos Silva on gender-related grounds due to her pregnancy. Ms. Dos Santos Silva joined the company in December 2022 and was terminated while on maternity leave in February 2024. She was awarded €136,200 in compensation after being forced to sign an addendum under duress due to the threat of loss of income before giving birth.
