Electra.aero has received a $1.9 million Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from the U.S. Army to develop hybrid-electric propulsion systems for its EL9 Ultra-STOL aircraft. The 18-month project will involve six technical tasks to assess the potential of hybrid-electric technologies in enhancing Army aviation capabilities.
