Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded a AED 20.5 billion (approximately $5.58 billion) construction contract for the Dubai Metro Blue Line to a consortium of three major companies: MAPA, LIMAK, and CRRC, hailing from Turkey and China. The Blue Line will span 30 kilometers, comprising 15.5 kilometers underground and 14.5 kilometers above ground, seamlessly connecting with the existing Red and Green Lines, and featuring 14 stations, with 7 elevated and 5 underground stations. Additionally, the project will include the supply of 28 driverless trains for a cutting-edge, automated transit system to serve Dubai's growing population.
