Cytokinetics, Incorporated and Bayer have entered into a collaboration and license agreement for the exclusive development and commercialization of aficamten in Japan for the treatment of patients with obstructive and non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). This collaboration involves an upfront payment of €50 million to Cytokinetics and up to €490 million in commercial milestone payments, along with tiered royalties on future sales of aficamten in Japan.
