LNG Canada has committed $900,000 to the City of Terrace to establish a specialized municipal section dedicated to managing major infrastructure projects over a five-year period beginning in 2026. The funding will support staffing for handling construction projects worth approximately $20 million, including Lanfear Hill reconstruction, sewer outfall system upgrades, and water supply expansion. LNG Canada will disburse the funds over the first three years, with the city using its surplus to cover initial operational costs of $467,935. Both parties have indicated potential for additional funding to support the section's final two years of operation.
