Description

Google has taken a direct equity stake in Cassava Technologies, a company involved in creating the Umoja subsea fiber-optic cable to connect Africa and Australia. The $90 million investment from Google, the U.S. federal government’s International Development Finance Corporation, and others will help Cassava strengthen its balance sheet and drive sustainable growth to improve connectivity in Africa.
