BWXT Awarded Contracts Worth Over C$1 Billion for Nuclear Projects in Ontario

Description

BWXT has been awarded contracts totaling more than C$1 billion for two nuclear energy projects in Ontario. The first contract involves manufacturing 48 steam generators for the Pickering life extension program, while the second contract is for manufacturing the reactor pressure vessel for GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy’s BWRX-300 SMR. These contracts will create numerous skilled jobs over seven years and mark a significant step in the deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs) in Canada and beyond.
