Description

Blackstone Life Sciences announced a $455 million collaboration with Boston Scientific Corporation to co-fund development of the VITALYST Temporary Percutaneous Transvalvular Circulatory Support System. The VITALYST system is a miniature heart pump designed to treat acute myocardial infarction cardiogenic shock by increasing cardiac output and improving blood flow to vital organs. This marks the first co-funding partnership between Boston Scientific and Blackstone Life Sciences for a Boston Scientific product. The collaboration aims to advance a next-generation medical device with improved efficacy, safety, and ease of use.
